Item Promotion

Promote your Vinted listings to the Fyndit community.

The Promote feature lets you share your Vinted listings with other members of the Fyndit community. When you promote an item, it is posted in a dedicated community channel where other users can see it and interact with it. This gives your listings additional visibility beyond the Vinted platform itself.

How to Promote an Item

1. 1Run /sessions and open one of your sessions (must be Mixed or Selling type).
2. 2Click Wardrobe to browse the items currently listed in that Vinted account's wardrobe.
3. 3Select the item you want to promote from the wardrobe list.
4. 4Review the item details (title, price, brand, size, photos) and click Promote.
5. 5The item is posted in the community promotion channel. This costs promotion points (currently 3 points per promotion).

Promotion Points

Promoting an item costs promotion points. You earn points by liking other users' promoted items. Each like you give earns you points, creating a mutual exchange: promoters get visibility, likers earn points to promote their own items later.

Your current point balance is checked before each promotion. If you do not have enough points, the bot will tell you how many you need and how many you have.

Community Likes

When you promote an item, other community members can click a Like button on the promotion post. When they do:

1. 1They select which of their Vinted sessions to use for the like.
2. 2The bot favorites the item on Vinted using their selected session, which increases the item's visibility and engagement metrics on Vinted.
3. 3The liker earns promotion points.
4. 4The like count on the promotion post updates in real-time.

Anti-Abuse Protections

• No self-liking - You cannot like your own promoted items. The bot prevents this automatically and shows an error if you try.
• No double-liking - Each user can only like a promoted item once. Subsequent clicks are ignored with a notification that you already liked this item.
• Session required - You must have at least one initialized (authenticated) session to like promoted items.
• Point cost - The promotion cost prevents spam. You need to actively participate by liking other items to earn enough points.

Troubleshooting

• Wardrobe button is disabled - Your session type is set to "Buying". Change it to "Mixed" or "Selling" to enable wardrobe access.
• "Insufficient points" - You do not have enough promotion points. Like other users' promoted items in the community channel to earn more.
• Wardrobe is empty - The session's Vinted account has no active listings. List items on Vinted first, then they will appear in the wardrobe.
